SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH CONCLUDES WITH SELECTION OF DR. GREGORY EWING

The search for a new Superintendent concluded on November 3, 2016 with the selection of Dr. Gregory Ewing from Marietta, Georgia. The School Board voted unanimously to select Dr. Ewing as the district’s top educational leader; he will begin his new job in Las Cruces on December 5, 2016. Dr. Ewing was the culmination of an extensive five-month interview process with the School Board and with several community-based interview committees consisting of students, parents, community members and LCPS staff.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN FINDING A SUPERINTENDENT

The Board of Education and Interim Superintendent Dr. Steven Sanchez wish to publicly thank the many individuals who were part of the Superintendent Search Advisory Council; they gave their time and expertise in assisting with the superintendent search.
