The department incorporates these major functions that focus on providing support to the School District staff, students and general public:
The warehouse handles all supplies and equipment used within the School District in addressing the mandates of the EPSS, which includes the control and distribution of office and school supplies, the receiving and distribution of all ordered materials/equipment, the transfer, storage and recycling of surplus property, and the disposition of obsolete, non-repairable fixed assets and other materials.
The Central Printing division provides reprographic and document finishing services for School District staff in support of the EPSS. Two and four color duplicating services are performed on high-speed copier and offset presses. Copy outputs are finished utilizing high speed collating, stapling, bindery, drill press hole-punch, cutting, and laminating equipment. Finished product is distributed through the Materials Management division warehouse personnel.
The Central Mailing division provides high volume, incoming and outgoing mail distribution services. Both U.S. mail and inter-departmental mail is processed through this division. Distribution is conducted utilizing the division’s own vehicles and personnel.
The Science Resource Center provides hands-on science kits for teachers, grades K-5.
