LAS CRUCES – The Conlee Elementary School Library has been named the 2007 Outstanding Elementary Library in New Mexico and will receive its award at the New Mexico Library Association (NMLA) Conference March 15-16, 2007 in Albuquerque, Conlee Principal Jennifer Terrazas announced today.
This award is sponsored by the Advocacy for School Libraries Interest Group of NMLA. Follett Library Resources will make a donation to the winning library.
The basis for the award is the Standards for New Mexico School Libraries developed by the New Mexico Task Force for School Libraries. This year, the categories of Library Collection, Curriculum Integration and Management were given double points due to the results of a recent study that found these areas have the most impact on students,” Terraz
