The Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the official kickoff of the recruitment process for the 2018-19 Junior Leadership Las Cruces program.
Modeled after Chamber’s successful adult program, Leadership Las Cruces, Junior Leadership tailors each session for high school juniors to receive a hands-on education about Las Cruces’ rich history, opportunities and challenges.
Just like in the adult program, participants tour the region and meet face-to-face with many of the area’s leaders in government, nonprofits, the arts, education, healthcare and the military. JrLLC also offers student participants the opportunity to meet and interact with other high school students from across the Las Cruces area. This unique experience provides student participants with the confidence, communication skills and the leadership abilities they will need to give them a running start toward success.
All interested area high school juniors are encouraged to submit the attached application form or contact their school counselor or principal for an application packet. If there are questions, please contact Brandi Misquez at the Chamber of Commerce for information at 575-524-1968 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The application deadline is set for September 20, 2018. The application packet can be downloaded HERE.
