Elementary school students and teachers from across Las Cruces Public Schools on Friday gathered at the LCPS Administration Building to unveil a new art exhibit featuring the students’ work.
The exhibit showcases student artwork in a variety of media, including watercolor, tempera paint, colored pencil, pen and ink, sculpture and mobile.
“We’re proud to host the work of these talented students, and to have the pleasure of being able to appreciate it every day,” said Superintendent Greg Ewing. “We’re so proud of the talented young artists we have in our elementary schools, and of the dedicated teachers who encourage our students and help them develop their artistic talent every day.”
A public reception was held Friday, where students and their parents were first able to view the artwork on display. Cookies and punch were served.
The artwork will remain on display at the LCPS Administration Building until further notice.
