Elementary, middle and high school students who want to transfer to a new school as of August 2018 must submit their transfer request application during the transfer request period, Feb. 1 through Feb. 22, 2018. Transfer request application forms can be found below.

In order to be considered, all transfer request applications must be received by the LCPS Instruction Department no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22. The Instruction Department is located inside the LCPS Teaching and Learning Center, 505 S. Main Street, Suite 400 (next to the Motor Vehicle Department).

Dr. Wendi Miller-Tomlinson, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, said that there is no guarantee that transfer requests will be accepted. “There are many factors that must be considered, such as the school’s enrollment and available teachers,” she said. “I encourage parents and students to read district’s transfer regulation if they plan to submit an application.” Click Here to view the Regulation

Students who wish to transfer schools and participate in athletics must have a parent or guardian meet with either Ernie Viramontes, LCPS Director of Athletics, or Bobby Campos, Assistant Director of Athletics, prior to submitting their transfer request application. Only a parent or guardian will required to attend the meeting and students do not need to be present. Meetings will be on a walk-in basis from Feb. 1 to Feb. 22, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the LCPS Athletics Department, inside the LCPS Administration Building, 505 S. Main Street, Suite 249.
