One hundred and seventy-four students from Camino Real Middle School spent the day exploring topics such as cyber security, coding and computer maintenance at the Doña Ana Community College (DACC) East Mesa Campus Day of Technology Friday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Throughout the day student participated in faculty-led workshops, assisted by 200 DACC students from the Debug, Women in Technology and American Institute of Architecture student clubs.

The workshops covered topics such as how to keep home computer safe, how to write computer code and participate in the field of computer science, how to keep computers up and running, how to solve problems in computer coding with Google coding and games, and how to design buildings using Computer Aided Drafting and Modeling. All of the middle school students who completed the workshops received a certificate of completion.

The event was sponsored by the DACC Computer and Information Technologies Department.
