High school students have the opportunity this week to show what democracy looks like through their eyes. In conjunction with a Sept. 16 event to study overhauling interest in democracy in Doña Ana County, the Doña Ana County Clerk’s Office is inviting high school students to create posters that depict the way they see democracy in Doña Ana County.
Contest entrants should bring their submissions to the Doña Ana County Government Center at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 16. The first-place winner of a $100 Visa gift card for the winning poster will be announced shortly before 3 p.m. Entrants must be present to win.
Posters cannot exceed 24” x 36” in size, and all posters will be evaluated by the attendees at the day-long event.
