Keeping with its annual tradition, the Centennial High School (CHS) Band will once again perform for a total of 12 continuous hours, spread across three separate venues, for the band’s Fourth Annual Play All Day fundraiser, Saturday, Feb. 25 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“The event is a fun, unique way to thank all of the people who help support the band program,” says Philip Ramos, CHS Band Director. “It’s exciting for us to go out into the community and share some of the wonderful music that our award-winning band students create every day.”

The fundraiser will kick off with ongoing performances at the Las Cruces Farmers and Crafts Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. These performances will include full band concerts on the main stage and smaller group performances throughout the market. Following the morning performances, the band will then travel to the Mesilla Plaza in Mesilla, NM, where they will perform from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Finally, the band will perform a concert outside of the New Mexico State University Pan American Center before the NMSU basketball game, followed by a performance at the basketball game with the NMSU Pride Marching Band. During the game the two bands will perform the national anthem and continue to perform together until half-time.

As one of the band’s largest annual fundraisers, the event will collect various donations and sponsorships to help provide funding for ongoing band activities. The event is organized by the nonprofit CHS Band Booster Club.
