Dona Ana Arts Council’s 2013 Career Art Path (CAP) summer program for students who will be in middle school in the 2013-14 school year is now accepting applicants.

The deadline to apply is Friday, May 31, 2013.

CAP is open to middle school students interested in the arts. Students entering 6th and presently in the 6th and 7th grades are invited to explore careers in exciting fields such as costume design, architectural design, ceramics, painting, digital photography and to go on exciting field trips to local galleries, museums and businesses for hands on exploration in many aspects of the arts. The program culminates with an art show featuring the students’ art work.

The program runs for two weeks — June 10-21 at CrossRoads in the Court Youth building.

The cost of this camp is $100 and a limited amount of scholarships are available based on financial need.
