Moose Lodge Gives to Dual Language Dept.
Dual Language Enrichment/Migrant Education Department Celebration Is May 8
LAS CRUCES – The Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge #2081 of Las Cruces has made a $350 donation to the LCPS Dual Language Enrichment/Migrant Education Department, said Assistant Director of Instruction Roberto Lozano, who heads the department.
The donation will provide funds “to purchase awards to honor our outstanding educators and students,” said Lozano. The Moose Lodge, he said, “has been an on-going partner with our department to ensure that outstanding educators and students are recognized for their accomplishments. I am thankful for their support with this event and hope to continue our partnership for years to come.”
The Dual Language Enrichment/Migrant Education Department will honor its 2013 teacher of the year (Patricia Bischof, a science teacher at Centennial High School), bilingual assistant of the year and six outstanding bilingual seniors at its annual celebration, which begins at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2013 in Conference Rooms A and B of the LCPS administration building, 505 S. Main St., Loretto Towne Centre, Suite 249, said Lozano.
The donation was presented to Lozano by Lodge Governor Juan Manuel Martinez and trustee Enrique Maestas earlier this month.
